Throughout my personal life I’ve gone through many highs and lows. There were many points in my life where I felt that the same things were constantly happening to me, around me… and honestly that shit was draining. I slowly started to seek understanding on how to change my life, and go through and handle things differently … Now, no means am I saying that doing or adding these in your daily, or weekly routine your life’s problems will completely disappear. Howevaaaa!!!!! it’ll will add a greater sense of understanding, being present and perspective to your life… and with in that, it will change the things around you! As always… thanks for coming and taking time to read my thoughts… :)
Embrace Mindfulness Through Meditation
Now, whether you know me personally, worked with me, seen my content or this is new to you… Meditation, Journaling and Yoga are my Holy Trinity of wellness in my life…. heavy on the meditation! Meditation is an amazing way to improve our mindfulness and spiritual health. Just a few minutes of focusing on our breath daily can reduce stress and boost self-awareness. It helps us feel calm and clear inside. Making meditation a regular part of our day can truly change our life for the better.
What's great about meditation is it can fit what we like and need. You might enjoy guided meditations, quiet time, or even walking while meditating. The important thing is to pick what's right for you. Then, keeping at it daily, even if only for a short time, can be very beneficial.
As our meditation deepens, we might feel more aware in our everyday moments. We worry less about the past or the future. This can greatly help our spiritual growth. It makes us value the world more and brings us peace inside.
Why not find some time each day to sit, breathe, and be in the here and now? By adding meditation into our daily schedule, we open the door to a mindful life, connection with our inner self, higher self and God (Divine, Universe Spirit, whatever you resonate with).
Cultivate Gratitude and Positive Affirmations
Daily gratitude and reflection helps and allows you to be and remain present. In the moments where you feel “All is going (or have gone) to shit”, bringing yourself back down to reality by ways of showing thanks… does a lot. Feeling thankful and using positive words daily can change how we feel inside. It helps our spirit grow. Each day, think about what makes you glad. Maybe it's a hug from a friend, seeing the beauty in the world, or enjoying simple things. This act of noticing good things can make us see more good around us. It can stop us from focusing on bad things.
Use good words with being thankful. For instance, say "I deserve love and joy" or "I have great strength inside me." Speaking these words can make you believe in yourself more. You start to really feel them inside. This changes how you see yourself. Life starts feeling more fulfilling and you grow personally and spiritually.
Remember, getting to know yourself is not about being perfect. It's about being kind and patient with yourself through all of life's ups and downs. Gratitude and positive words help us have a meaningful life. One filled with a deep sense of spiritual happiness.
Integrate Gentle Movement and Yoga
Now, onto yoga!!!! Adding gentle movement and yoga to your daily life can boost your spiritual health. Mindful movements form a strong link between our mind, body, and soul. Yoga helps cut down stress, boost flexibility, and bring inner peace and balance.
Begin with easy yoga poses or stretches. As you get more at ease, add more to your routine. Don't rush it. Stay patient and kind to yourself. Little by little, as you practice, you'll feel better physically and spiritually.
For your spiritual journey, gentle movement and yoga are game-changers. Whether you love an active vinyasa or a calming yin, these practices bring you closer to yourself. Always remember, we store or trauma and life difficulties in our hips, in our roots… see what happens as that is release. Take the chance to listen to your body, calm your thoughts, and grow your spiritual awareness through yoga and gentle movement.
Nurture Your Soul with Journaling
Journaling is a powerful way to help your spirit grow. When you write about your thoughts and feelings regularly, you get to know yourself better. This can help you deal with emotions and feel more connected to who you really are. Try different ways of journaling to see what makes you feel best.
Starting to journal can lead to amazing self-discoveries. Writing things down lets you dive deep into your mind and heart. You can learn a lot about yourself, like what you really care about and what you hope to achieve. This learning journey can spark personal growth and a deeper love for yourself.
Using a journal can be your special place for working through life's challenges. You can record your wins and sort out tough times in private. Writing daily or a few times a week keeps you in touch with yourself and helps you stay strong emotionally. It guides you to listen to your inner wisdom, feel your life's purpose, and handle the changes in your spiritual path. One of my many favorite things to do with my journals, is to use them as a reminder. I keep all of my journals, I have journals I wrote in when I was 10 Year old, when I was a teen, struggling college student, expectant mother…. so many years of journals. I use my journals to not only remind me of where I was during those times of the past, but compare to where I am now and how far I have come. My past journals give me a higher sense of gratitude, because once upon a time I was praying for many of the things I have now. There was a time in my life where I thought it was impossible to achieve many of the things I have now. And it gives me so much confidence… and excitement looking forward to my future…. I can do, be and achieve anything.
Disconnect from Technology and Connect with Nature
DON’T SHOOT THE MESSENGER…. but listen…. In today's busy world, it's crucial to sometimes leave our gadgets behind. We should get out and enjoy nature. This could be a stroll in the park or exploring a hiking trail. Such activities help our spirits in big ways. They reduce stress, boost focus, and make us live in the now more often.
When we step back from screens and get into nature, we do a lot for ourselves. The great outdoors invites us to slow down and breathe. It shows us real beauty. These experiences are life-changing. They teach us to be more thankful, mindful, and calm inside.
Choosing nature over technology is a kind of self-care. Doing so often makes us feel more balanced. Even a short time outside, whether in a park or your backyard, helps. Such moments are more helpful than we might think for our health and joy.
What’s important is to do this regularly. Taking a break from screens every day really matters. It's fantastic for lowering stress, improving your spirits, and strengthening your spirit. Go outside, plant some flowers, touch some grass, stare at the moon, let the sun hug you, play in the rain…. whatever you need to do…. Get into nature and recharge your spirit.
Develop a Spiritual Reading Practice
Regardless of any religious belief, background or affiliation, adding spiritual reading to our daily schedule boosts our soul and insight. By reading various texts, from scriptures to self-help, we gain wisdom for our growth. Being open to new views helps in our spiritual journey.
Reading spiritually aids in developing ourselves. It helps us find inner calm, meaning, and connection. Whether by learning from old philosophers, current leaders, or life stories in books, this process leads to deep self development and personal growth.
It's vital to read with an open, curious mind. Let the words impact you and spark fresh thoughts. Write down meaningful parts and reflect on how they affect your life. This routine can change your spiritual journey over time. I am always learning different ways to just exist, heal, restore, help myself and others. Here are some books below that I completely recommend for your to read list.
Practice Self-Care and Self-Love
Another thing that I will drill into any and everyone who will listen is… S E L F C A R E!!!! I am soooo big on self care… it’s so important. You feel good, you look good You become good, or better. It's important to take care of ourselves spiritually. Doing things daily that make our mind, body, and soul happy can make a big difference. Things like a warm bath, a creative hobby, or quiet time for thinking help us be our true selves. They also bring peace.
Being kind to ourselves is key for becoming spiritually strong. When we treat ourselves gently, we start to really like who we are. This makes us feel more purposeful, stronger, and happier in the now.
When we make self-care and self-love a priority, our life changes for the better. Our connections, goals, and how we see life improve. We become better at dealing with tough times. This all boosts our spiritual health.
Engage in Acts of Kindness and Service
Being kind and helping others makes us feel spiritually well. It takes the focus off us and onto the needs around us. This simple act gives us a big sense of meaning and belonging.
Helping out at a local charity or doing small things for friends and family makes us feel connected. It makes us feel like we matter. These actions ground us and fill our spirit.
When we volunteer, we feel good about our impact. Whether we mentor kids, feed the homeless, or help at an animal shelter, we make a difference. Such actions fulfill us more than just meeting our own needs.
Doing small good deeds daily is also key. Complimenting, helping, or just smiling at people spreads joy. These acts, when done with love, not only feel good, but also inspire others. They help make the world a kinder place.
I hope this was a good read for you!!! Till next time… Take care of yourselves!
